The reading terms

The terms on which these pages are read

This page sets out what Platform Facts SA is, what it measures, how it is funded, and what a reader should and should not expect from the figures it republishes. It is information, not advice.

What the desk measures and how

Platform Facts SA is an independent editorial desk. It is not a broker, not an exchange, not a licensed adviser, and it holds no client money. Its subject is one measurement, taken from named public sources and republished with the date and the hour it was read. Rows are the FSCA's own records with its own dates and statuses. The site adds no verdict.

The sources are named under every table, with a link, so a reader can check the figure at its publisher. Responsibility sits with the publication's editorial desk: Platform Facts SA editorial team. The desk reads the sources, checks them against each other, and answers corrections. No individual is named because the work is the desk's, not one person's.

The affiliate relationship and how the site is paid

The site links to one broker, FxPro, through an affiliate link, and is paid a commission if a reader opens an account there. The reader pays nothing to this site and nothing extra at the broker. This is stated plainly on the page about the publisher and on this page about terms.

The broker's own site is operated by someone else, under its own terms and its own privacy policy, and following the link leaves this site. The desk does not handle the reader's money, does not see their account, and does not receive any payment until an account is opened through that link. The reader decides alone and is responsible for their own decision.

What the site collects and what it does not

The site has no accounts, no login, no newsletter and no comment form. It sets no cookie of its own, runs no analytics and stores nothing in the reader's browser. The pages are served by a hosting provider which, like any web host, keeps its own technical request logs; the site's publisher does not read a reader's personal data out of them.

The desk does not collect names, email addresses, or any identifying information because the site offers no way to submit them. A reader who writes to the address on the contact page reaches the desk, and that message is read only to answer it. Nothing on the site is investment advice, a recommendation or an offer. The figures describe what things cost, not what a reader should do.

Corrections and how to write about data questions

Writing to the address on the contact page reaches the desk. Corrections are the reason the address exists: a figure that is wrong is corrected and the correction is dated. The desk reads the named sources under every table and compares the republished figure to the source. When a source changes, the table is updated and the new date and hour are recorded.

The desk cannot answer questions about a reader's own account, their bank, or their broker, because it does not have access to those records. It can act only on what it has published: a figure, its source, its date, and its hour. If a reader finds a difference between the site and the source, writing to editor@platformfactsza.pages.dev is the way to have it checked.
